This Week on teh Interwebs

My [revised] plans for Day 1 LeWeb10

Leave a comment

Y’all. I need to rethink my goals for LeWeb day 1 as I STILL don’t have a voice and likely won’t tomorrow. Interviews are out, podcasting is out…to be fair, I will be doing good just to show up tomorrow, so please be gentle with me and look the other way when I drink my cough syrup from the bottle. I’m on antibiotics so it is ok if I breathe on you. Most of y’all already know that I like to chill in the plenary room and I don’t move around much. And I’ll move even less than usual tomorrow.

So what I am going to do on this site, at least for day 1, are liveblog the State of the Industry sessions from 9:50 to 11:35. I’m then going to go to Praized and Smallrivers’ startup sessions at 14:40 and 14:45 but I don’t know if I am going to liveblog these or if my liveblogging for these will be on this site or cross-posted elsewhere as part of my “other projects” (check my Twitter).

I will be present on Twitter and Twitter is still the best way to reach me. However, will not be livetweeting this year as much as I did last year, for several reasons:
-the blog platform I was on last year was a group blog, and the posting policy was not amenable to liveblogging, but I had free reign over da Twittah, thus I tweeted;
-Tweets aren’t curated, and people can’t (well unless they are stalkers) go back over my tweets to pick out pertinent info;
-I know that a lot of people in my TL neither care about nor are interested by LeWeb
– I’m pretty much a convert to the Stephanie Booth School of Live Tweeting.

I don’t get into Paris until around eleven tonight and I am going straight to bed so I will miss the boat party and assorted events. (Lausanne-based robbers beware: nosy retired neighbor, cat sitter, cat all present). I will be in Paris the rest of the week so please feel free to tweet at me to catch up, I would love to meet people!

Note that the Swissies amongst you are cordially invited to the Nespresso stand at 8am SHARP. If you are interested in what Swiss groups will be doing at LeWeb10, feel free to join this facebook page. I am NOT going to LeWeb just for myself and this site, so I will try to cross post or tweet my other activites as they arise!
